Never boast, always praise

A self-centered manager will never be perceived as a real leader. Being proud of your business results should not be a reason to talk only about yourself. Instead of wasting everybody’s time to boost your image, it is better to focus on your employees and their results. Always praise their achievements and try to develop an encouraging leading style. Criticism without praise is not efficient and it can only cause damage.

On the other hand, treating your employees too softly will make them too relaxed and too sensitive. Telling them how they could improve their performance in a friendly way will earn you even more appreciation from them. After all, managers often serve as father figures to many workers.

Leaders who want to be recognized as genuine professionals who care about their companies, but do not forget about their workers, must take care of several things. Firstly, they need to be emotionally stable and ready to take a bullet for their workers when their business is experiencing financial difficulties.

Finally, if managers want their employees to treat them like real leaders, they have to inspire them with their own moves. Learning new languages, working on self-improvement and attending leadership training classes are only some of the options for setting an example to their workers.

Standing at the front of a business requires business, communicative and social skills. Being a successful and lovable leader is a difficult thing to achieve.
